As part of the colloQUTE series, IP SAS, in cooperation with QUTE.sk, hosted a physics colloquium focused on magnetoelectric phenomena in non-centrosymmetric superconductors lead by Assoc prof. Denis Kochan (IMPULZ Fellow).

On September 26, 2025, the V-Klub in Bratislava transformed into a space where science, curiosity, and enthusiasm for quantum technologies came together. To celebrate the International Year of Quantum, we brought a large Quantum Zone to the European Researchers’ Night, where visitors could embark on a journey from the fundamental principles of physics to the most advanced technologies.

The Quantum Technologies Summer School 2025 marked the third year in a row of this joint educational initiative, alternating annually between Bratislava and Vienna. From August 11–14, University of Applied Sciences Vienna became the meeting point for students and experts passionate about the future of quantum science.

From July 14 to 18, 2025, the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences opened its doors to young scientists aged 12 to 18 as part of the Summer School of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, organised by All4Science, o.z.

RCQI at the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences hosted Prof. Byoung S. Ham from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea, for two fascinating talks about quantum communication and quantum sensing.

On Monday, April 14, 2025, science fans, students, educators, and technology enthusiasts met at the Kácečko Cultural Center in Bratislava for the “Quantum Entanglements” event, which brought an evening full of inspiring lectures, discussions, and a friendly atmosphere on the occasion of World Quantum Day.

At the end of the year, we hosted two significant delegations to showcase the country’s progress in research and innovation, supported by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).

From August 19 to 23, 2024, Bratislava brought together bright minds from across Europe as the Quantum Technologies Summer School 2024 transformed the city into a hub of quantum innovation. Hosted at Comenius University and co-organized by leading institutions, the event blended rigorous academic lectures with practical workshops, equipping students with skills and insights at the forefront of quantum science and its applications in industry.

The recent QCI Ireland conference held in Dublin offered a rich array of discussions and presentations from specialists across Europe, aiming to discuss and advance quantum communication technologies. Over the three days, attendees were treated to a series of engaging workshops, keynote speeches, and panel discussions. The event highlighted the rapidly evolving field of quantum communication and its implications for secure data transmission.

Join us for an immersive week-long summer school, co-organized by the Institute of Physics Slovak Academy of Sciences, Fachhochschule Technikum Wien and QUTE.sk – Slovak National Center for Quantum Technologies. The QUTE.sk association had the honour of hosting Professor Mark Hillery from New York, USA, who recently visited Slovakia for two significant events: the CEQIP science conference and a series of lectures on Introduction to Quantum Algorithms.
